About Us

Nurses hold a pivotal role in advancing healthcare because they possess invaluable front-line knowledge and expertise. They are also the implementers of policies and changes. However, they are rarely involved in decision-making and policy development, leading to healthcare policy failures. We started Health Polisee with one goal: to bring policymakers, healthcare leaders, and nurses together to collaboratively construct policies and changes that will benefit healthcare organizations, patients, and the public. We hope to increase nurses’ involvement and promote a shared governance model in the healthcare system.

Health Polisee is a reliable platform where members can engage with each other and discuss various topics in an interesting and safe online environment. It also offers educational opportunities to increase the knowledge and awareness of nurses on their role in policymaking. Our website caters to healthcare leaders and organizations, policymakers, and registered nurses in Alberta. In the future, we aim to expand this initiative to include more healthcare workers globally.
