Good morning everyone,
The Royal Alexandra Hospital is planning to implement the use of a personal location tracking device for high elopement risk and certified patients. This device will be built into the patient's armband as an RFID tag. The location tag will only start tracking by activating it from the database.
The purpose of this policy is to help healthcare workers, security, and the police to easily track and bring wandering and high elopement risk patients back to the hospital to ensure their safety and well-being.
Please let us know what you think about this new policy.
Regards,
Raymond
Patient Care Manager, Royal Alexandra Hospital
